The Sheffield Youth Circus

Tuesday Evenings at Greentop Circus- If you are aged 8 to 16+ years and want to learn circus skills then Youth Circus is the place for you!
8 - 12 year olds - 5.30pm to 6.45pm , 13 - 16+ years old -7.15pm to 8.30pm

Summer term show:

The current Youth Circus block finishes on Tuesday 20th July with the amazing show, youth circus members should come along at 5pm, the show begins at 6pm and subs are the usual weekly rate of £3.50

Summer Activities:

Although Greentop is closing for most of August for our makeover, we have some amazing summer activities lined up in partnership with some Sheffield community groups, for more details see here

Autumn Dates:

The Autumn block will begin on 7th September, and the final show will be on 7th December.

Youth Trapeze and Aerial classes:

Youth aerial classes run on Saturday mornings, and will resume on September 11th

So, what goes on at Youth Circus? The sessions are run in a friendly and supportive environment with experienced circus tutors on hand to teach and assist. The skills you can learn include juggling, tight-wire, diabolo, devil sticks, trapeze, clowning, rola bola, walking globe, poi, plate spinning, acrobatics...phew! So much fun stuff to do you'll certainly not be bored! You will be taught by expert circus performers and the term finishes in an 'end of term show' for friends and family where you can show off your new skills. "Its great fun, you will meet new friends and you get to do cool circus stuff." The Sheffield Youth Circus at Greentop Circus has been going for 9 years. It is funded entirely by session fees, donations, sponsorship and lots of hard work and aims to provide circus and performance skills to children from all backgrounds. We especially encourage children from the local area to attend this popular and fun activity. We also offer a bursary scheme to reduce or waive the fees, because we don't want the fees to be a barrier which stops people coming.
